The entire mineral-holding top is constructed from durable poly, so salt and minerals are not in contact with metal. This poly construction helps prevent corrosion caused by salt and minerals, extending the life of the feeder and making it ideal for long-term use in livestock operations.

To further protect minerals in outdoor conditions, the feeder includes a poly fin-style rotating top that turns freely with the wind, similar to a barn weather vane.
