The Sydell 0490 Ewe & Doe Headlock provides a simple, effective solution by safely holding the mother’s head in position, preventing her from laying down and allowing lambs and kids the opportunity to nurse.

Designed for temporary, supervised use, this headlock helps train newborns to find the udder and establish a strong nursing routine. By keeping the ewe or doe standing and steady, lambs and kids can safely access milk without interruption—reducing the need for bottle feeding and improving early health outcomes.

How It Works:
Attach the headlock to a compatible Sydell 400 Series front feed panel. Position the ewe or doe and adjust the neck opening for a secure fit. The headlock gently holds the animal’s head in place, preventing her from laying down or turning away. This allows lambs and kids to nurse consistently while building confidence and proper feeding behavior. Once nursing is established, the headlock can be removed.
