Sydell 0992 Tub Section – Sheep & Goat Crowding Tub

The Sydell 0992 Tub Section is designed to help move sheep and goats smoothly into a working alley for sorting, treating, weighing, and other livestock-handling tasks. Built from heavy-duty American steel, this crowding tub provides a durable, organized way to control animal flow while allowing efficient one-person operation.

The 0992 Tub Section is also used in Sydell System B as part of a complete working system. It can be combined with Sydell alley sections and other handling components to create a full livestock-working setup. Producers can add options to any alley system configuration, customizing the system for sorting, weighing, treating, drafting, and other livestock-handling needs.

The 0992 Tub Section holds approximately 30 head of full-grown sheep or goats and measures approximately 14 ft in diameter. Its curved-panel design helps guide livestock naturally toward the working alley, while the included Slide/Swing Gate moves around the tub to encourage animals forward.

Component Details

#943 – 8' Slide/Swing Gate

The 8' Slide/Swing Gate is the working gate inside the tub that helps move livestock forward toward the alley. The gate rolls smoothly around the top of the tub, allowing the operator to gradually reduce the available space as animals move forward. Once a group has entered the alley, the gate can be slid back out of the way so the tub is ready for the next group. This design helps provide controlled animal movement while allowing efficient one-person operation.

#0944 – Tub Support Assembly

The #0944 Tub Support Assembly provides the structural support needed to keep the tub panels and Slide/Swing Gate properly positioned during use. The assembly includes supports #0001, #0002, and #0003, which work together to reinforce the tub structure and maintain the proper shape and alignment of the system. These supports help create a stable, durable setup for everyday livestock handling.

#0950-T – 8' Curved Tub Panels
The three #0950-T 8' Curved Tub Panels form the rounded outside wall of the crowding tub. Their curved design helps guide sheep and goats naturally toward the working alley while reducing sharp corners where animals may hesitate or bunch up.

Each #0950-T panel also features an anti-back stop along the top of the panel. This allows the Slide/Swing Gate to be positioned against the tub panel so livestock cannot push the gate backward. The anti-back stop helps keep animals safely bunched together and maintains steady pressure toward the alley, making it easier to feed livestock into the working alley in a controlled manner.

Together, the three panels create the approximately 14' diameter tub area and provide a strong, durable enclosure for moving and controlling livestock.

Complete Working System Options

The 0992 Tub Section is used in Sydell System B to create a complete sheep and goat working system. It can also be added to other Sydell alley configurations, giving producers the flexibility to build a handling system around their individual operation.
