Sydell Feed Front / Safety Zone Panel for Standard Lambing & Kidding Pens – Items 0400-4T & 0400-5T

The Sydell Feed Front / Safety Zone Panel is designed specifically for Sydell Standard Lambing & Kidding Pens. It serves two important purposes within the pen: creating a protected safety zone for lambs and kids and allowing the adult ewe or doe to eat from outside the pen.

The safety-zone area gives newborn lambs and kids a designated place where they can get away from the adult animal and rest in a protected, warm, dry area. At the same time, the feed-front design allows feed to remain outside the pen, helping keep the maternity area cleaner and drier while giving the producer convenient access for feeding without entering the pen.

Designed for Sydell Standard Pens

The 0400-4T and 0400-5T are designed for use with Sydell’s Standard Lambing & Kidding Pen system.

They help organize the pen around the needs of both the adult ewe or doe and her newborn lambs or kids by combining:

  • A protected newborn safety zone
  • Outside-the-pen feeding access for the adult animal
  • Easier daily feeding for the producer
  • Cleaner, drier pen conditions

Protected Safety Zone for Lambs & Kids

The safety-zone section helps create a designated area within the Standard Lambing or Kidding Pen where newborn lambs and kids can move away from the adult ewe or doe.

This protected area gives young stock a place to:

  • Rest away from the adult animal
  • Help avoid being stepped on or crowded
  • Stay in a protected, warm, dry area
  • Remain within the same pen as the ewe or doe
  • Create a more organized maternity-pen setup

Feed the Ewe or Doe from Outside the Pen

The feed-front design allows the ewe or doe to eat from a feeder positioned outside the pen.

This provides several practical advantages:

  • Helps keep spilled feed out of the pen
  • Helps keep bedding cleaner and drier
  • Reduces unnecessary mess inside the maternity area
  • Gives the producer easier access to the feeder
  • Allows feeding without entering the pen
  • Makes daily feeding and barn chores more convenient

The best equipment I have come across for our sheep. Let along some of the best people to work with. They definitely stand behind their products and are go getters in the industry. We love the stands we have purchased and feeders and.....all the items

  • Sean Scibienski

Some of my items were damaged during shipping, and these damaged items were not visible to me when I received the shipment. The great people at Sydell corrected the issue and shipped out new replacement panels for the ones that were damaged. I really appreciate the customer service!

  • Trevor Mitchell

Their products are great! Why? Being the main shepherd and a female, I am glad I can lift all the individual gates and pieces of equipment in the handling system myself, including the scale. Their hay baskets and poly troughs have outlasted any other I have had...
