Working Alley

• 16 ft Working Alley: The System 0993 working alley extends approximately 16 ft from the 0985 Guillotine Gate to the 0920B 2-Way Sort, providing a controlled path for moving sheep and goats through the system before sorting or directing them into separate groups.

The solid 42 in high alley panels help limit outside distractions and encourage livestock to continue moving forward. The working alley can also be narrowed at the bottom to create a V-shaped configuration, allowing producers to better fit the alley to different sizes of sheep and goats and help reduce the opportunity for animals to turn around.

System C uses 8 ft solid panels, 42 in high, to create a controlled working alley that helps limit outside distractions while moving sheep and goats toward the 0920B 2-Way Sort.

The 0985 Guillotine Gate controls livestock entry into the working alley, while the 0965 Anti-Backup Plate helps discourage animals from backing through the system. At the end of the alley, the 2-Way Sort allows livestock to be directed into separate groups depending on the producer’s management needs.

System C is designed for everyday sheep and goat management, including sorting, vaccinations, health checks, identification, breeding management, hoof care, treatment, weighing preparation, flock or herd separation, and routine livestock handling.
