How System D Works

Livestock enter the 20-head System D crowding tub, where solid-sided panels help limit outside distractions and guide sheep and goats toward the working alley. The 8 ft Slide/Swing Gate allows the operator to move livestock forward through the tub and control animal flow toward the 0985 Guillotine Gate.

From the tub, livestock enter the 16 ft solid working alley. The 42 in high solid panels provide secure containment and help keep animals focused on moving forward. Two alley panels feature a 12 in drop top, providing easier handler access when inspection or hands-on management is needed.

A key feature of System D is the adjustable working alley. The bottom of the alley can be narrowed to create a V-shaped configuration, allowing the alley to be adjusted for different sizes of sheep and goats while helping reduce the opportunity for animals to turn around.

The 0965 Flat Anti-Backup Plate helps discourage livestock from backing through the alley. At the end of the working alley, the 0920B 2-Way Sort allows sheep and goats to be directed into two separate groups.

This tub-to-alley-to-sort layout creates an efficient path for routine livestock handling in a compact overall footprint.

The System D crowding tub creates a durable, controlled area for directing sheep and goats into the working alley and holds up to 20 head of full-grown sheep or goats.

The tub uses two 8 ft curved solid tub panels and a System D special-length solid panel to form the crowding area. The curved design helps guide livestock toward the alley, while the solid panels help limit outside distractions.

The 0943-8 Slide/Swing Gate allows the operator to move livestock forward through the tub and provides flexible access for loading and controlling stock.
